In the first quarter of 2025, the top navigation and maps applications on iOS in Australia showed varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Google Maps maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads starting at approximately 30.3K and gradually declining to around 23.6K by the end of March. The app's weekly active users remained robust, fluctuating slightly but ending the quarter at around 5.9M.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic had a notable start with weekly downloads peaking at 38.6K but later stabilizing around 19.8K. Active user numbers showed some variability, starting at 917K and closing the quarter at approximately 910K.

Google Earth experienced a moderate download rate, beginning at 7.2K and seeing a peak of 10.7K in early March. Active users saw a peak of 116K in early March, before declining to 80K by the end of the quarter.

QLDTraffic had a significant surge in downloads in early March with a high of 20.6K, although it hovered around 3K towards the quarter's end.
